The Cove is a 2009 documentary film of the purported annual killing of about 2,300 dolphins in a National Park at Taiji, Wakayama, in Japan. The film highlights that this is about three times the number of whales killed in the Antarctic, and claims that 23,000 dolphins and porpoises are killed in Japan every year. The migrating dolphins are herded into a hidden cove where they are netted and killed by means of spears and knives over the side of small fishing boats.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan's most recent progress report 1,569 cetaceans in Taiji were killed during the 2007 season, including methods other than drive hunting. Only 1,239 cetaceans were killed by drive hunting. A total of 13,080 cetaceans were killed throughout Japan in 2007.
The film was directed by former National Geographic photographer Louie Psihoyos, and portions were filmed secretly during 2007 using underwater microphones and high-definition cameras disguised as rocks. The documentary won the U.S. Audience Award at the 25th annual Sundance Film Festival in January 2009. It was selected out of the 879 submissions in the category.
I strongly recommend you guys to watch this documentary film. You will discover the true human nature of destroying the endangered species of dolphins and whales. Give your support and help to save the dolphins!

End Animal Slaughter! Stop Animal Cruelty!
As we all know, animals are inhumanely raised in factory farms every single day. Throughout their whole lives, chickens, cows, turkey, and pigs are confined in small cages and crates. They are drugged, beaten, branded, and castrated. The cattle have their horns pulled out, while turkey have their beaks and toes burned off with a hot blade. All the animals are inhumanely treated and slaughtered while conscious. My goal is to end such abuse.
The animals' lives are in vain. It is a great tragedy that they cannot do things that are so natural to them-- they cannot even lay down comfortably. It is as if they live to satisfy humans.
Because the animals cannot speak up for themselves, it is our place to speak for them. For us to know of such torture and do nothing is hypocritical. We worry and whine about trivial issues each day while these innocent creatures fight to live; in the end, only to be killed.
Please help me in this fight against animal cruelty. It is our duty to protect helpless animals. Thank you.
p/s:dont just fight for the dolphin only, fight for all animals, dont be bias. you guys dont eat dolphin and concern bout dolphin slaughtering does not mean you're all care bout the animals abuse. go vege :)
